This Weekend

ABOUT LAST NIGHT

So my numero uno gay took me to empanada Mama’s for dinner. What is now my new favorite hangout on 9th ave. We had dinner and a large, may I say Muy grande pitcher of white wine Sangria. Big mistake, Huge, So let me just say, I am still slightly inebriated as I am writing this blog. Shoot me.

The majority of these events are in the boroughs. I say real New Yorkers boro hop, the wannabe's are the ones who are afraid.

CRANKSGIVING Benefit Show
Last Resort ArtSpace: 8-63 Astoria Boulevard, 8 PM. FREE w/ donatable food (nonperishable: canned food, dry rice, beans, etc). $100 if you don't. Charity is a good reason to go to a party, I believe anyway. Featuring: Sunshine Ward, Slow/Dynamite, Maxwell's Demon and DJ Quarters, DJ Stachemaster! Beer provided by The City Reliquary.

Text in the City

Dumbo Arts Center (30 Washington Street), Free, 3pm
In conjunction with Sex in the City, the group exhibition currently on view at the Dumbo Arts Center, Sara Marcus presents an afternoon reading, Text in the City. Sara Marcus curates as Jess Arndt, Kathe Burkhart, and Frances Richard read their pieces about the word sex.

Webster Hall 125 E. 11 St. btwn 3rd and 4th Avenues, 6pm Til 12 Midnight-ish, $5 For the first 100 people, before 7pm, After 7pm, $12 without. All I have to say is DANNY KRIVIT all night long. Back on the turntables the entire night!
