Moby, the multi-talented musician and activist, discusses the mysterious feeling of being 'in sync' while performing or composing with Petr Janata, a neuroscientist at the Center for Mind and Brain at the University of California, Davis. Like Moby, Dr. Janata knows something about "getting into someone's head": he spent three years decoding bird songs as part of his post-doctorate work at the University of Chicago and now, decades later, employs brain activity recordings to determine how music impacts basic neural processes.
