Fun Weekend in store.

I don't know what's going on this weekend but every DJ worth their salt is in town. Is this a Pre-Miami WMC situation going on or what. I don't know but I am sure glad to be in town this weekend, just hope the snow evaporates quickly.

Whitney Live: So Percussion and Kneebody
Whitney Museum (945 Madison Avenue at 75th Street),7pm, pay-what-you-wish. Whitney Live showcases an eclectic variety of cutting-edge performers." Tonight features a collaboration between the genre-bending ensembles So Percussion and Kneebody.




Rubin Museum of Art K2 LOUNGE & Slaughterhouse Five Screening

Rubin Museum of Art 150 West 17th Street), Free, $7 drink minimum. Make a night of it. At 6pm have Happy Hour Drinks, with DJ, and Gallery Tours then stay for the 9:30pm Screen adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut’s classic novel. Slaughterhouse Five all a part of the Rudin's Brainwave events.

Langston's 1073 Atlantic Ave 8pm-5am, $7: 8-9pm, $10: 9-11pm, $15:11-5am. OPEN BAR FROM 8-9pm. Tonight is a fund raising event is to give back to the one of the longest running New York summer events the International African Arts Festival. DJ Disciple, with special Guests RICH MEDINA, SABINE and live performance from WUNMI & DANCE WARRIOR PROJECT. From 9-11pm with DJ Sabine creating the Native soundtrack. DJ Disciple with special guest Rich Medina spin after the showcase.

DJ AM & Eli Escobar @ ROOM SERVICE

Room Service 35 East 21st Street btw Broadway & Park, 10pm, free with RSVP Roomservice invites you to Made To Order Fridays with tonight's very special guest DJ AM! Spinning alongside him will also be Eli Escobar. Tomorrows event at prime with DJ AM and DJ Jazzy Jeff I'm sure will be much better, but you probably won't get into that one.

First of two events happening tonight and tomorrow night as part of BAM Next festival. Tonights event is the longer of the two involving a Strictly Classic Party with Special Guest Dj Spinna Rare live Performance by Strafe – Set it off. Both Nights Are free All Night Long.





RHYTHMISM.COM 4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY PARTY

PACHA 618 West 46th St. Free before 12 am.
This is the event I've been waiting for. For me its really the return of the TMD aka The Martinez Brothers. I saw these younglings at PS1 this past summer and was blown away. They are my new heros of dance music. There are some other people spinning as Rhythmism.com takes over Pacha here's the run down. The newest spot on the strip. Will it be the prime nightlife location, we'll see. Tonight is a showstopper with Jazzy Jeff, but isn't DJ AM tired from the night before.
