In the immortal words of my new hero JONTE.
Every once in a while you experience a performance that goes above and beyond mere entertainment and transcends all things that have come prior, becoming a force of nature that teaches and changes you. It happened when I witnessed Revelations by Alvin Ailey; when I saw Love is a battlefield performed by Candice Cayne, watched Michael Jackson Moonwalk on Motown 25, and when I observed one of Nina Simone’s last performances of See-line Woman at the MontrĂ©al jazz festival. It happened again last night at the opening night of RoomService Tuesdays when JONTE performed Bitch You Betta. All I can say is that my mouth was gapping open and I couldn't move. When he did his signature one leg up in the air move I almost past out. There are no adjectives in the English dictionary to express what was witnessed all I can say is that it was truly mesmerizing artistry at its best and it must be witnessed for oneself.

Disco Years: A powerHouse Retrospective brings the high life, literally and figuratively in an exhibition of the era’s most fabulous fashionistas, indulgent rock stars, outlandish artists, mystical muses, jet-setting socialites, and fantastic freaks, revealing the delicious decadence that defined the decade. New York City in the 1970s was the kingdom, Studio 54 for the castle, and Steve Rubell was the king.
